An 84-year-old Bainbridge Island man, driving a silver Toyota RAV4, was arrested for driving under the influence after he ran a stop sign and struck a power line pole. The pole broke off and energized lines fell across the vehicle. Both Bainbridge police and fire department personnel responded, along with Puget Sound Energy.
