My husband and I always wanted to experience a fishing resort. Boy did we score with Ballard's! The whole resort was much larger than we thought. Lots of cabins, great swimming pool, and the bar/restaurant were super! Our fishing guides were fabulous. Travis, on the first day, lived for fishing. Never met anyone so absorbed …Our charter boats are still heading North as weather allows. We are still tipping our jigs with a frozen shiner and jig, Jig, JIG! Our last day of charter fishing is on Sunday October 16th, but we do have lodging packages available. In the meantime, jigging with a smaller buck shot (color hasn’t been decided but BRIGHT) tipped with just the head of the minnow! Bombers are still about an hour ride each way so dress in layers! We are excited to have a GREAT late ice season!
