Dialogs and building options in Pathfinder Kingmaker don't do justice to religious character. I would even say that any Cleric/Inquisitor/Paladin should lose the diety favor from what i read on the internet bout playing as that type of a hero. Pilars of Eternity was way, way better with stuff like that.

Among the fixed companions, probably Daeran for having the ideal combo of built in class/race/skills to keep him defensive and alive as a healer (wings, powerless prophecy defenses, etc). 4.Bard is a 2/3 caster, with great out of combat utility. It's a very strong class, and it will get you through RP and combat without too much trouble.
