Ffxiv emote macro. Turned out the issue lay in the copy/paste from Notepad to the game's macro window. Paste the text to any OTHER text entry point (like when making a post here) and it comes through as expected. Copy from THERE to the games macro window and it comes through correctly. Obviously this is a clipboard issue that is normally handled by the OS.
