Grievous affix
Restoration Druid is one of the better healing specializations for Mythic+. It has enough throughput to get through almost any healing situation, good crowd control, and the best tank cooldown in the game. We lost 3 affixes: Grievous - a healer affix - replaced by Afflicted Quaking - a forced movement mechanic - replaced by Entangling Explosive - a DPS affix - replaced by Incorporeal. It’s just how it is. If you want your Ret paladins cleansing poison off ghosts they’re not going to take their blinding light. etc etc.
Comment by yusuf I think Blizzard needs to handle this affix, similar ones, and certain dungeons in Timewalking events, like Pit of Saron, the same way: If 4 or more party members are premade in a party before queuing, then the affix and dungeon is like it is at the time of this comment -- no changes; but if 2 or more party members joined solo, then the affix or dungeon gets nerfed ...Most “push weeks” involved quaking or volcanic in some capacity, pretty dumb to look at the data of which weeks saw the most runs and prune 2 off the top. This week for sure since its grievous you might need to look at the tank a little bit more, but grievous should not lead to a tank dying. Best way to heal grievous or even non grievous AOE is the classic combo of, Echo on all party members (maybe not tank), then Verdant Embrace and possibly a Dream Breath after for good measure.The combination of these two affixes are very frustrating as a healer since you end up having to clean up all the mistakes dps makes. I recommend not trying to focus on removing grevious stacks, rather just attempt to keep everyone at a healthy life total. On trash and some bosses that have bursty damage patterns it's sorta OK since you can quickly get rid of the debuff using riptide + healing surge X 2 (spec into undulation + crashing waves), or ascendance if needed. In an emergency, you can use Blessing of Protection to clear all the stacks of Grievous and immune them from gaining stacks for the duration of the BoP.(Chain Heal is a bit of a trap, too expensive and too slow to cast.)
