I've always just used a hammer and punch to knock out the broken one but that's what they say. Then simply put the new one in using a spacer and an old lug nut.

The dealer should be torquing your lug nuts to 95 ft-lbs, not 80. And less, the lock nut could break do to a freak event. It is weird though.
