The goal of formal youth mentoring programs is to create and support positive relationships for youth with caring, consistent adults. Youth mentoring programs have been shown to enhance developmental outcomes for youth across a range of social, behavioral, and academic domains (DuBois et al., 2011; Raposa, Rhodes, et al., 2019; Tolan et al., 2014).
