Mosasaurus fossils

Mesosaurus was a small, aquatic reptile that lived during the early Mesozoic Era. It was one of the first reptiles to return to the water after the Permian-Triassic mass extinction. Mesosaurus had a long, narrow body with paddle-like limbs and a long tail. It was a proficient swimmer and fed on small fish and invertebrates.
