Sig’s FCU. The modular design appeals to me, and I like having one firearm morph into multiple uses depending on the level of concealment or control I require. The FCU is the core of the build, and it allows me to swap between various configurations. My main configuration is a standard P365 frame with the XL slide.
The new slide and grip module only add about 1/2" to the overall length and height of the micro-compact P365, while increasing the capacity to 12+1 rounds of 9mm. It still maintains the crisp, clean P365 trigger pull, but with the “X” signature flat profile trigger that breaks at 90 degrees. When I talked to Bill Saunders, at Sig Customer service last week he was unaware of a manual safety retrofit for the P365 or the P365XL in the works and said even the Pro Shop wouldn't even do that for you at this point. I EDC a 365XL with a regular 365 grip. Pop the rear pin out, lift the FCU, careful to not have parts drop off of it, and place it directly into the other frame. Hey guys, I noticed when I first cock my 365xl while dry firing, on the first trigger pull the entire fcu and slide moves back like less then a mm, but you can feel it happen.
