The Kansas Book Festival is targeted towards all ages and presents 60 authors with a wide range of topics including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and kids books. There will be an additional 30 exhibitors in tents with food trucks. For the full schedule go to the website www.kansasbookfestival.com

Book lovers of all ages met Sept. 18 for the inaugural Kansas Book Fest West, first gathering at the Art Council of Dickinson County for an author meet and greet followed by book readings at the Abilene Public Library. Kansas Book Fest West is a subset event of the 12th annual Kansas Book Festival held in Topeka, Kansas, Sept. 16.
