The Rose Kennedy Greenway was one of the side projects of the Big Dig (Flint 2015). With the removal of the highways above, the project set itself on beautifying the area once teeming with concrete and elevated highways (Flint 2015). The project designers wanted a grand landscaping teeming with parks and open buildings (Flint 2015).
