If your power calculations (12.6 vs. 20) are correct, it's a 1/3 reduction in power usage, but means more extractors. I had to really fiddle to get the extractors in the puddle I'm using, so I went for overclocking. 7 extractors with a difference of 7.4 each is about 51.8MW difference, which is 5% of my available power with only 12 generators.
