So one thing that confuses me about the Stanford website is which tracks/POD are the ABMI research/fast-track and what is not.Word is leaking out from reputable sources that Stanford Hospital's Inpatient Rehab Unit is being eliminated from the hospital. His med students would leave at 5:30 pm because they would have a test the next day. The only downside is that a lot of Stanford students don't finish in 4 years, they take a year off to do research, or "find themselves". Don't think much has changed.Mount Sinai is a strong school no doubt, but it does not have the same reputation/prestige as Stanford. Stanford's residency director rating is 4.5/5 and its peer rating is 4.6/5. Mount Sinai's is 3.7/5 for both. To give you some context, Stanford's numbers are on par with Penn/UCSF, while Mt. Sinai's are on par with Case Western/Iowa.Train physician scientists: Probably equal.
