This is not valid housing terraria

Terraria has two data IDs for dirt walls, "natural" walls are ID 2, and player placed walls are ID 16. For housing, you need to use "Player Dirt Wall" as the wall type for houses, otherwise it won't work. Just select the brush tool, set a large cursor, change the paint mode to wall, select Player Dirt Wall, and swipe over the area.

This is not valid housing terraria. This caused ALL the other npcs to switch places and now my pylon network is completely unusable. I'm trying to put them in their previous locations but the game says they're not considered valid housing, although they have a light sourse, chair, table and at least 2 blocks of space next to that. Someone please help, I'm going insane.

Jul 3, 2015 · Open Door bug: A flat can get invalid if a door is open and valid if door is closed. So @Zhazzhaz if you close all doors your flats should get valid. An (open) door has a negative impact at the NPC's rest position. A flat need a valid NPC rest position (where NPC stand at night) to become valid. It checks all place in your flat to find one.
