Out of the classes I've taken it has to be EECS 470. EECS 482 is an honorable mention but for me personally it isn't even close. 482 has the advantage of building on a skill-set that all previous (programming) EECS classes have been building on: C++ and its tooling. You're already familiar with the tooling so you can largely focus on the concepts.A central part of EECS 470 is the detailed design of major portions of a substantial processor using the Verilog hardware design language (HDL).
