Over 90% of the furnishings in the home are authentic White family possessions. William Allen White House is located at 927 Exchange Street in Emporia. For more information call 620-342-2800. The site is scheduled to reopen the first week of April 2012 and will operate on a seasonal schedule, closing for the winter at the end of September. The site remains available for special events throughout winter closings.At first the family rented, then finally purchased the house in May 1901 for $6,000.
