Feb 26, 2022 · Select both fleets in the outliner, hit G and one fleet will start moving towards the other one, and they'll merge once it arrives. Both of your fleets have to be close in order to merge. Even if they are in the same system, if one is at the far end of system, and the other one in your base, they won't merge.

Some event ships can be merged, like the gas cruiser or automated dreadnaught. Maybe the fleet you’re trying to combine with is max command limit, which is different than fleet capacity. There's a button with two ship outlines in the top of the fleet panel when you have more than one fleet selected. Patrol fleets patrol to fight of piracy when needed, and they're designed to be able to capture systems that don't have any upgraded starbases. They're ALSO designed to fight fleets composed of a bunch of smaller ships, like other corvettes, etc. instead of larger ships. It's also annoying that they don't combine them in 1 fleet so that I can easily see the total fleet power, they leave it as 5-7 different fleets that travel together.
